I want to tell you about the amazing Foursquare Missionaries we have serving throughout Europe. About 30 men and women who have said “yes” to the call of Jesus to leave home and homeland to carry the Good News to others. These men and women serve in some pretty “hard” places.
The Netherlands has the same number of people per capita converting to Jesus Christ as Saudi Arabia. Thankfully, we have a strong church movement in The Netherlands AND we have a great missionary family serving in Amsterdam.
Estonia and The Czech Republic are among the least churched nations in the world. Thankfully we have missionaries there who are taking the Good News of Jesus Christ to the streets.
Poland is one of the most religious nations in Europe, with 88% claiming to be Catholic and about 42% are “practicing Catholics.” We have a missionary who has been faithfully serving in Poland for years. We have another missionary couple in the process of going.
These are just a few of the amazing men and women serving God’s purpose in Europe through Foursquare Missions International. I wish I had time to tell you about our missionaries in Albania, Hungary, Russia, Ireland, France, Germany, Bulgaria, and a few places we cannot mention because of security reasons. I know you love and respect these faithful servants as much as I do. That is why I am writing you today. We have a chance to serve them this spring by providing a time of refreshing for them.
These missionaries do not ask for much. In fact, about the only thing they have ever asked me for is, “Can we get together once every two years?” So, every two years we have made a way to get together with our missionaries serving throughout Europe.
These men and women all live on “missionary salaries” without complaining. They are frugal in ways that blow my mind. So we want to provide this retreat time for them without cost.
This year we are planning to meet in Budapest, Hungary for the Foursquare Europe conference (April 18-21) and then we will have a couple of days together with just the missionaries. This will give them the ability to be with the larger family of churches spread throughout Europe AND to have a time of refreshing and fellowship with their fellow missionaries.
